5) Bugatti Divo – $5,8 million
Such a high price did not deter potential buyers. All copies (40) have sold out like fresh buns. Under the hood of this hypercar sits the same unit as in the Chiron. However, the Divo has completely revised styling and improved aerodynamics. It is even more compelling and, according to the manufacturer, drives more confidently. Compared to the Chiron, the Divo proved faster on the Nardo track by as much as 8 seconds.
4) Pagani Huayra Tricolore – $6,7 million
The Huayra Tricolore is Pagani’s most powerful and exclusive model. Only 3 copies were made, and each was valued at $6.7 million. The limited edition pays tribute to the Italian aviators of the Frecce Tricolori.
The heart and soul of the Tricolore is a 6-liter V12 engine designed by Mercedes AMG. Under the hood here you’ll find 829 horsepower, which provide extraordinary performance considering the vehicle’s very low weight – only 1270 kg.
The car’s paint job is inspired by Aermacchi MB-339A jets. Here we have a new splitter, redesigned air intakes and a huge wing at the rear of the car. Pagani has even added a Pitot tube, which measures speed based on pressure differences – just like in airplanes.
3) Bugatti Centodieci – $9 million
This is the next and latest Bugatti in the list of the world’s most expensive cars in 2022. The Centodieci will be even more limited than the Divo, as only 10 copies will see the light of day. The fewer copies, the higher the price – you’ll have to pay $9,000,000 for the Centodieci.
It features everything needed to call the car a hypercar. The 1,577-hp engine provides acceleration to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds. The speed here has been electronically limited to 380 km/h.
2) Rolls-Royce Sweptail – $13 million
RR Sweptail is an extraordinary car created specifically for one unique, albeit anonymous, customer. Work on the Rolls-Royce Sweptail took as long as four years. The inspiration for the design was the hull of a yacht. And indeed, the rear of the car resembles the glass stern of a boat. The unusual design of the car is a display of Rolls-Royce engineers. Exact technical specifications are not known, although the Sweptail is certainly powerful. The price is also unknown, although experts estimate it at $13 million.

The Bugatti La Voiture Noire was created to celebrate the company’s 110th anniversary. Only one example of the car was built – Bugatti set its starting price at 12,300,000, although the buyer reportedly eventually paid $18,700,000 at auction. The owner has already taken delivery of his car.
